Detailed Description of J/A+A/478/659 : OGLE Be stars in Galactic Bulge (Sabogal+, 2008)

Note : this is the description file of the original catalog.
This HTML page corresponds well to the original description, but some minor
changes in the format may have been introduced in the FITS output
files in order to allow for arithmetic operations on quantities
such as coordinates and times. h:m:s and d:m:s units are normally
converted into degrees, and YYYY-MM-DD into julian days.
Similarly, some slight changes may have been introduced in the
units; the value given in the HTML files supersedes the value indicated in the ReadMe
file for this catalogue.

Abstract:
We report the first systematic search for Be star candidates in the
direction of the Galactic Bulge. We present the full catalogue, give a
brief description of the stellar variability seen, and show some light
curve examples. We searched for stars matching specific criteria of
magnitude, color and variability in the I band. Our search was
conducted on the 48 OGLE II fields of the Galactic Bulge.
Description:
This search has resulted in 29053 Be star candidates listed in
Table 4. 198 of these stars show periodic light variations and are
listed in Table 5. Nearly 1500 stars in this final sample are almost
certainly Be stars, providing an ideal sample for spectroscopic
multi-object follow-up studies.

Note on table4.dat: The first 1488 stars in this catalogue are those
called the most certain Be star candidates.
Note on table5.dat: Some of these periodic Be star candidates show several
periods in the periodogram. For the moment we give only the
fundamental period obtained for each star.
